Million Dollar Portfolio

Some numbers are important. They signify change and growth. Some numbers are special because they mean you have broken through barriers.

Today, MDP broke the double digit RSS barrier. It’s exciting for me because I am working very hard to promote this blog and fine tuning it all the time getting it to look just right. It’s not an easy task and as time goes by you are going to see the face of this blog change, it’s inevitable.

I’ve never been one to stick to any one thing too long, especially when it comes to the web. Technology changes so fast you barely catch your breath and all the sudden something new comes along. The only way to keep up is to adopt early and test everything. This includes marketing strategies, blog templates, affiliate programs, basically everything that makes your blog what it is.

I have been quite pleased with the growth of this blog so far but I’m not resting on my laurels. I’m out there getting it known. The next milestone is 20 RSS subscribers. If I can get 20 subscribers, I can get 40 and if I can get 40 I can certainly get 100. The more eyeballs reading this, the more people I can hopefully help (and market to ).

A lot of you are probably wondering why I don’t have a domain specific for this blog. The reason is quite simple. This blog is a reflection of a portion of my umbrella company (Wilcox Studios). I wanted this to be like an alter-ego of sorts, a fracture of the whole that is Wilcox Studios. To that end, this blog is part of my portfolio site which is basically my work from Art School and some video game development I have done.

Million Dollar Portfolio is about building lasting wealth through creative means. I’m glad you all have decided to come along for the ride.
