Another Link Train

Not one to shy away from free link love, I discovered this train today when I logged into my dashboard today. Lately I have been doing heavy marketing with Entrecard which I think is one of the best small blog marketing tools to be developed as of late. It blows away BlogRush in my opinion for a number of reasons.

  1. It’s interactive. You have to actively check out the sites you want to advertise/click on to get credits
  2. 2. The buttons for the msot part are attractive. Of course if yours isn’t, you should be hiring me to build you a 125×125 pixel logo. Just ask Road 2 Blogging if it was worth the $10 I charged.
  3. 3. You can get a free advert on some of the biggest blogs on the net. I just reserved my spot on John Chow.com which is one of the biggest blogs out there. Next up is saving enough credits to advertise on John Cow.com.

To me, BlogRush failed for a few reasons. Number one, their widget went down a lot right from the start, article popularity seemed arbitrary, and I had no control over who advertised on my blog and who didn’t. With Entrecard I can reject any ad I deem unfitting, of which there have been many and I won’t name names.

So all that aside, I have another link train to mention. Link trains are a way of building buzz and potentially lasting traffic so I always like to participate in them. I really only do it for this blog because this is all about networking, popularity and doing whatever you can to earn a living online. Link trains certainly help with traffic even though ultimately they may not make a dent in your Google PR. I really only care about RSS subscribership these days anyway. That’s your real bread n butter because those are dedicated readers.

And without further ado, the link train!

#Start copy here#
The idea is simple: You want readers and you want link backs too because that’s all us bloggers want, it’s more precious than milk for some :twisted:So how does it work?Simple! You just copy the list down below on your blog, hence creating link backs for your blogging friends and then click the RSS feed link to subscribe to all of them. Then you add yourself and up to 5 other bloggers and their feeds to the end of the list before you publish it on your own blog. Show your friends some link love :)Just imagine if just 10 people would do this and then 10 more after them. That would get your blog 100 extra link backs and 100 extra feed subscribers! The Original List:

My Additions

You participated but you’re not listed yet? Drop us an email so we can add you!
    #End copy here#

So now all you need to do to parcipate is to copy between the copy tags and add a few links of your own and publish it on your blog. Those people you add will see the trackback in their dashboard and hopefully pass on the linkage. Everybody Happy! :)
