I just can’t keep myself from writing about all the contests I come across these days.
The Apple iPod Touch is one of the coolest devices I have ever had. It’s thin, sleek and powerful. With the ability to watch videos, listen to your favorite songs or podcasts, store photos, surf the web, watch YouTube directly…what’s not to like?
You can win one of these beauties from FileLime.com. FileLime is a way of storing your files online so you can get to them from anywhere in the world. This sounds good at first but my biggest problem with this site is the interface. Sure the upload link is right there in the middle but once you have uploaded your file, there isn’t any menu to be found as to how to access the file(s) you have uploaded. In fact, the whole site appears to have been created as a Google Adsense farm to generate clicks out of sheer confusion. FileLime describes the site: Filelime offers 150MB of free space, 5 multiple uploads, progress bar uploader, and even a direct link to your upload!
No waits, signups or limitations!
You simply browse for a file to upload and click upload. Simple. Now go back to the home page and try to find your file…It can’t be found.
Now although this is a free site, I would still expect the same professional level of features as a similar pay site otherwise why even use it? It’s a good idea that just doesn’t seem to be thought through completely. And yet here I am writing about it because I want to win that iPod. Yes, I already have one but I want to give this one away on this blog of course!
So even though I don’t like the idea of promoting a site that is just set up as an ad-click farm as this so obviously is…I can’t help but whore my blog for a shameless contest.
