Million Dollar Portfolio

It all started last week when I bought one of the new “Cash For 20 Years” California Lottery Scratchers. I won $6 from that original $3 ticket.

Today at lunch I took that ticket back to the store and rolled that into two more of the same tickets. The first one I scratched off was for a free ticket. I thought that was pretty cool. I had a feeling that the second ticket might also have a prize in it. As I scratched off the numbers, First, then the second…the third…by this time I’m thinking aww it’s not gonna be a winner…but I didn’t let that thought linger for long as I then reveal the 5th box and i see a 10x in it.

Sweet! The prize was $5.00. I just won $50! Awesome.

The two tickets are sitting on my desk just waiting for me to turn them in now. I’ll get one more of the same ticket and take the other as cash. Now I can add this to my tally.

I won’t be adding the other tickets as cash value however because I parlayed them into more tickets so I don’t feel that counts for this experiment.

Maybe the next one will be even bigger or maybe it won’t, that’s not what’s important. What is important is remembering the purpose of this experiment and how we intend for it to work. Saying the mantra at least once a day and being conscious of opportunities…and yeah, hoping for a little luck. As they say though, sometimes you have to create your own luck.

I think I did that today.
